Very Late

If you are going to be a lot later than 5 minutes, then you should call your manager and tell them about it.

"Hi Barbara, I'm going to be 30 minutes late today. My car is having trouble this morning, so I arranged for a ride with a friend."
"Hey Jack, I'm running a little late today. I just got out of my dentist appointment and it was longer than I expected."
"Mark? This is Pat. I'm stuck in traffic. I think there is an accident that is holding up traffic. I'm going to be a little late."


When you plan on being late ahead of time, it is much easier. For example, if you have a doctor's appointment in the morning, you can tell them in advance and then you don't have to worry about coming in on time.

"I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning. Remember I told you earlier this week? I'll come in right after my appointment."
"My daughter has been sick, so I'm going to take her to see the doctor tomorrow morning. Is it ok if I'm a little late? My appointment is at seven in the morning, so I'll only be an hour late."
"I have to take my parents to the airport tomorrow. I shouldn't be too late, but wanted to tell you ahead of time."



Molto in ritardo

Se avete intenzione di essere molto più tardi di 5 minuti, allora si dovrebbe chiamare il tuo gestore e dire loro su di esso.

"Ciao Barbara, ho intenzione di essere in ritardo di 30 minuti oggi. La mia macchina ha dei problemi di questa mattina, così ho organizzato un giro con un amico."
"Ehi Jack, sto correndo un po 'in ritardo oggi. Ho appena ricevuto dal mio dentista appuntamento ed è stato più lungo di quanto mi aspettassi."
"Mark? Questa è Pat. Sono bloccato nel traffico. Penso che ci sia un incidente che sta tenendo il traffico. Ho intenzione di essere un po 'in ritardo."


Quando si pensa di essere in ritardo prima del tempo, è molto più facile. Per esempio, se avete un appuntamento dal dottore al mattino, si può dire loro in anticipo e poi non devi preoccuparti di venire in tempo.

"Ho appuntamento domani mattina di un medico. Ricordate che ho detto all'inizio di questa settimana? Verrò a destra dopo la mia nomina."
"Mia figlia è stata male, così ho intenzione di portarla a vedere il medico domani mattina. E 'ok se sono un po' in ritardo? Il mio appuntamento è alle sette del mattino, così sarò solo un'ora in ritardo. "
"Devo portare i miei genitori all'aeroporto domani. Che non dovrei essere troppo tardi, ma volevo dirti prima del tempo."
