Tomorrow's Plan - I am going to

Talking about the future is something that is done very frequently. Whether we are talking about our dreams or simply telling someone what we will do tomorrow is all spoken in the future tense. As in the previous lesson, this isn't a grammar lesson. This lesson is to provide many different sentences using the future tense.

In the previous lesson, we concentrated on present tense using 'I am'

When we speak in the future tense, we can still use 'I am' but it is important what follows the two words that will make it future tense. Here are a couple of examples.

"I'm going to see Bob tomorrow"
"I'm going to meet John at the airport at 6 O'clock tonight"
"I'm going to go home in an hour"
"I'm going to go to the bus stop right after class"
"I'm going to do that tomorrow"

When using 'going to' after 'I am' it is important that a future indicator is present. For example, if I say, 'I am going to meet John', this can also be present tense that we practiced previously. But if you add a future indicator like 'at 6 O'clock tonight' then it becomes future tense.

Other future tense indicators are:

'going to go'
'going to be'
'I will'
'I have to'

Let's practice using these words:

"I'm going to be dead if I don't finish this project by tomorrow"
"I'm going to go home next week"
"I'll meet you there at five"
"I can't go tonight because I have to work late"

Piano di domani - ho intenzione di

Parlando del futuro è qualcosa che viene fatto molto spesso. Sia che stiamo parlando dei nostri sogni o semplicemente dire a qualcuno quello che faremo domani è tutto parlato al futuro. Come nella lezione precedente, questa non è una lezione di grammatica. Questa lezione è quello di fornire molte frasi diverse usando il tempo futuro.

Nella lezione precedente, ci siamo concentrati sul tempo presente usando 'io sono'

Quando si parla al futuro, possiamo comunque utilizzarlo 'Io sono', ma è importante quello che segue le due parole che renderanno tempo futuro. Ecco un paio di esempi.

"Vado a vedere Bob domani"
"Ho intenzione di incontrare John all'aeroporto alle 6:00 stanotte"
"Ho intenzione di tornare a casa in un'ora"
"Ho intenzione di andare alla fermata dell'autobus proprio dopo la lezione"
"Ho intenzione di farlo domani"

Quando si utilizza 'andare a' dopo 'Io sono', è importante che un indicatore del futuro è presente. Per esempio, se io dico, 'ho intenzione di incontrare John', questo può anche essere tempo presente che abbiamo praticato in precedenza. Ma se si aggiunge un futuro indicatore come 'a 06:00 stasera' allora diventa tempo futuro.

Altri indicatori tesi future sono:

'Intenzione di andare'
'Sta per essere'
'Io'
'Devo'

Facciamo pratica con queste parole:

"Ho intenzione di essere morto se non finisco questo progetto entro domani"
"Ho intenzione di tornare a casa la prossima settimana"
"Ci vediamo lì alle cinque"
"Non posso andare stasera perché devo lavorare fino a tardi"
